If you have found yourself here it may be that you are not quite feeling yourself. Perhaps you are experiencing feelings or emotions that are troublesome. It’s possible that you need to talk in confidence and be heard without judgement, criticism and to feel safe with someone who really cares. Welcome to Flow...
I’m Ria, I have lived here in Brixham all my life.
I have a love of the outdoors and the therapeutic qualities it brings me.
I particularly enjoy the coastline and anything that allows me to have a few mindful moments beside the waters edge.
Its like gold in a hectic life!
Paddle boarding, sailing or just a good walk. They are all fabulous for my soul.
I have always had a genuine passion for people and their story.
My background in financial services ended with a shifting in family dynamics and the addition of 2 little people.
I followed a lifelong dream to retrain as a counsellor and I've never looked back.
Our approach on how we work together is Humanistic, this means counselling is centred around you and what you hope to achieve from our sessions together.
It is a positive approach to therapy which focuses on you as a whole person.
Mind, Body and Soul.
We are flexible and will find a style of counselling which works well for you, this is possible by blending therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Person-Centred counselling and other Mindfulness based practices.
Sometimes thinking outside the box with regards to how you are best supported achieves positive outcomes, sessions may occasionally take place outside of the therapy room!
This style of counselling can be fantastic as we work together to look at challenging your anxiety and the beliefs you hold which may keep it going and growing.
My counselling room is comfortable and relaxing- much my practice, informal and friendly.
For therapy to work a strong and trusting relationship needs to be developed and is at very heart of how I like to work with you.
Counselling can be a wonderful experience, it is important you find a counsellor who you click with.
We offer a FREE OF CHARGE initial session so you can get to know us and decide if flow feels right for you.
Thereafter each session will be £35 Per Hour
Student Sessions £30 with a valid NUS Card.
Sessions will last approximately 50 minutes - 1hour
